The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a total of 1,897,692 results from the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), marking a significant milestone in the nationwide exercise.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the examination body confirmed that 1,264,940 results from candidates who sat for the exam on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, have now been processed and made available.
“The results of candidates who sat the examination on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026 have now been released. A total of 1,264,940 results from these two days are available for candidates to check,” the statement read.
This latest release follows an earlier batch of 632,752 results from candidates who wrote the examination on Thursday, April 16, bringing the cumulative total to nearly 1.9 million results so far.
JAMB urged candidates to check their results using its official SMS channels, maintaining its established procedure.
“To view their results, candidates should send ‘UTMERESULT’ to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number (SIM) used during registration,” the board stated.
The examination body noted that the released figures represent results from the first three days of the nationwide exercise, which began on Thursday and is expected to accommodate over two million candidates across accredited computer-based test centres.
JAMB reiterated its commitment to a transparent and efficient examination process, assuring candidates that additional results from subsequent examination days will be released in due course.
