The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has commended Rolling Gazing Bonded Terminal for maintaining high operational standards following an assessment of the facility as part of its ongoing nationwide inspection of licensed bonded terminals.
The commendation came after members of NAGAFF’s Trade Advocacy Committee visited the Lagos-based terminal on Thursday to evaluate its operational capacity, service delivery, and contribution to trade facilitation and port decongestion.
The inspection exercise, which forms part of NAGAFF’s efforts to strengthen efficiency within Nigeria’s logistics chain, revealed that the terminal possesses the required infrastructure and technology to support seamless cargo operations. The facility is currently expanding its capacity to handle up to 5,000 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs).

Leading the delegation, Founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, praised the terminal’s automation systems, cargo handling facilities, security architecture, and operational readiness.
He stressed that modern bonded terminals have become indispensable in addressing logistics bottlenecks and enhancing cargo movement within the maritime sector.
“The infrastructure is available, the equipment is functional, and the operators are fully prepared for business,” Aniebonam said, adding that such facilities are critical to improving cargo efficiency and reducing pressure on the nation’s seaports.
Chairman of the NAGAFF Trade Advocacy Committee, Dr. Increase Uche, also lauded the facility, describing it as well-equipped and service-oriented. According to him, the terminal’s strategic location and capacity for expansion make it a potential major logistics hub in the future.
Speaking during the inspection, the Operational Manager of Rolling Gazing Bonded Terminal, Stanley Enoma, disclosed that the facility operates advanced digital platforms, including a Terminal Operating System (TOS) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), to enhance efficiency and cargo processing.
He noted that the terminal is currently expanding its operational capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 TEUs.
NAGAFF stated that the nationwide inspection exercise would continue across other bonded terminals in the country with a view to identifying operational gaps and making recommendations aimed at improving efficiency, compliance, and trade facilitation within Nigeria’s maritime industry.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting best practices and ensuring that bonded terminals contribute effectively to the growth and competitiveness of the nation’s maritime and logistics sector.
