A Lagos Based Media organization, Frontline Media Int’l has conferred on Kanwan Katsina 111 – District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara a prestigious award of Best Media Friendly Royal Father of the decade 2012 – 2022.

The Frontline Leadership Award was presented to The Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara during a glittering ceremony held at Welcome Center International Hotels Lagos and was attended by distinguished guests, Community Leaders, Media Personalities, and well wishers who gathered to celebrate his outstanding achievements and various contributions.
The statement quoted the management of the media organization saying, “The prestigious Leadership award was presented to the Royal Father in recognition of his exceptional efforts in fostering a strong and cordial relationship between the Media and the traditional institutions as well as promoting transparency, cultural heritage and community development”.
The statement further said the Frontline Reporters describes Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara as a former public Relations Officer PRO of the Nigeria Customs Service and now a traditional ruler who has demonstrated remarkable dedication to upholding the traditions and values of Ketare Royal Heritage by embracing the power of the media to connect with the wider public.
As a retired Customs Comptroller, Frontline Reporters acknowledged the efforts of Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara in using the media to enhance and Forster Customs and Traditions of the region and the pivotal role they play in the society the statement added.
Frontline Reporters noted the commitments of the monarch towards promoting unity and cultural diversity which has significantly contributed to the development and progress of the region through engaging with the media to highlight challenges and aspirations of Ketare District in Katsina State and enabling relevant stakeholders to proper a solutions and initiate positive change.
Receiving the award, the Statement said Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara expressed gratitude to the Organizers of the event and all those who played a part in bestowing the prestigious honor upon him and commended the frontline Reporters for finding him worthy of the award.
The statement quoted Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara as emphasizing the importance of synergy between the media and the traditional institutions in fostering an inclusive and informed society.
