Calls on wealthy people to assist the less the poor during this Ramadan

The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara ‘mni’ has commended the Katsina State Governor Mal Dikko Umar Radda’s commitment to boost irrigation farming in the state.
Alhaji Usman Bello said the provision of solar powered water pumping machines provided by the state government has brought ease to the farmers compared to petrol powered.
According to him, this and other many more initiative of the Dikko Radda’s administration will no doubt attract many youth to venture into irrigation farming to become self-employed and boast food production in the state
He assured to use the district heads office to encourage youth to venture into irrigation farming in his domain considering the fact that the famous Mashigi Dam is located within the area which attracts irrigation famers from all over the area.
While commending the efforts of the Katsina State Government in the fight against insecurity, Alhaji Usman Bello requested for additional security base in Mashigi Dam to secure the area in a bid to improve irrigation activities.
Earlier in another development, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni had called on wealthy individuals from his community and the state in general to use part of their wealth to assist the less privileged and vulnerable persons in the society especially in this holy month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara made the call during distribution of clothing and cash assistance to orphans and less privileged persons from Ketare District donated by Bishir Umar Girbobo Foundation and other philanthropist from the Area in his Palace in Ketare.
The beneficiaries of the Ramadan gesture were selected by the village heads from the district who brought them to the palace of the Kanwan Katsina to receive the package
He noted that Almighty God accept the prayers of the needy, the less privileged and the people that are in hardship and trying times especially in this Holy month of Ramadan
The traditional ruler use the occasion to commend the Katsina State Government initiative for rolling out various policies and programs aimed at cushioning the effect of economic hardship on the people which include provision food items at subsidize rate and distribution of free food to the needy during iftr.
The Kanwan Katsina called for continued prayers for the government and people of the state to succeed in ongoing fight against insecurity.
