
The Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, mni, was celebrated in a blaze of glowing tributes on September 1st, 2025, as dignitaries, institutions, and community groups hailed his enduring legacy of leadership, service, and development.
Leading the cascade of felicitations, the General Manager of Katsina State Radio Services, Malam Lawal Attahiru Bakori, on behalf of himself and the station’s staff, lauded the traditional ruler’s remarkable devotion to community growth. He described the Kanwan Katsina as “a patriotic leader whose vision and dedication have left an indelible mark on the lives of his people,” while wishing him many more blessed years.
The Ketare Youth Development Association (KYEDEMA), under Comrade Mudassiru Lawal Gurbi and Secretary Comrade Abdul’aziz Mohammed Ketare, also praised the monarch’s relentless efforts in driving social and economic transformation within Ketare and beyond.
Similarly, the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), led by Ambassador Obi Okafor, joined the well-wishers, alongside the Association of Retired Senior Customs Officers from the 1982 intake—Kanwan Katsina’s coursemates during his illustrious career in the Nigeria Customs Service.
Adding their voices, the 1981 graduating class of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, represented by Yahaya Amfani, and the 1974 set of Government Secondary School, Malumfashi, saluted the royal father’s exceptional contributions to education, mentorship, and nation-building.
