The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has acknowledged the efforts of the Katsina State Area Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service Dalha Wada Chedi for improving Customs-Community Relations and suppressing of smuggling activities. In the state. Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara was speaking at the office of the comptroller when he led his council members and delegation from ketare district to congratulate him on his recent promotion from the rank of Deputy Comptroller of Customs to Comptroller of Customs.The Monarch described comptroller Wada Chedi as dedicated and hardworking who has contributed to the success of the Nigeria Customs Service as he served at various Capacity across the country.He expressed happiness as one of the officers he groomed while serving at Tin Can Island port area command Lagos some twenty years back has attained the Rank of Comptroller which is the highest peak in the career of the Customs Service.
The traditional ruler prayed for success and God guidance to the new comptroller of Customs Dalha Wada Chedi.Responding, the new comptroller of customs wada Chedi thanked his former boss Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare who is also a retired Comptroller of Customs. He acknowledged the fact that he worked under the tutelage of comptroller Usman Bello Kankara retired when he was at the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Customs in Tin Can Island Port.
He said he is aware that to whom much is given, much is expected therefore he will redoubled his effort in serving the nation and keep on doing his best to suppress smuggling and improve revenue to the nation.He then thank the Kanwan Katsina and his delegation who came all the way from Ketare to felicitate with him and requested for advice at all times.
