The Katsina State Government has been commended for various Health policies and programs currently been implemented in the state.

These programs include immunization campaigns against measles, polio, malaria,and other six child killer diseases,as well as antenatal care services.

The commendation was contained in a statement signed by his Media Aid ,Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina Jamilu Hashimu Gora and made available to news men in Katsina.

In the statement,the Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara ‘mni’ disclosed that the health officials of Kankara Local Government recently paid him an advocacy visit in his palace and discussed the immunization exercise in the Local Government and requested for his cooperation and assistance for the success of the exercise in Ketare District.

Following this advocacy visit, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare directed all the village and ward heads in Ketare District to commence darobust campaign to ensure the success of the immunization exercise.

Similarly the District head directed Imams in the district to enlighten thier faithful on the need to ensure success of the ongoing immunization exercise in Friday sermon and five daily prayers.

The Kanwan Katsina urged parents to ensure that their children are properly immunized,emphasizing the importance of routine immunization and antenatal care, particularly for mothers in rural areas.

The statement further explains that people should use mosquito nets distributed effectively in their homes to prevent malaria, cautioning against the misuse in farmlands.
