
The District Head of Ketare in Kankara Local Government, Kanwan Katsina III, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, mni, has continued to receive a deluge of goodwill messages as he marked his 68th birthday on September 1, 2025.
Prominent among the well-wishers was the General Manager of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Katsina, Malam Muhammad Lawan Baba, who conveyed his personal and institutional felicitations on behalf of the management and staff of the station. In his message, Malam Baba lauded the royal father as “a distinguished and patriotic leader, widely regarded as a Builder of Humanity.”
Similarly, the General Manager of Katsina State Radio, Alhaji Attahiru Lawal Bakori, paid glowing tribute to the Kanwan Katsina, praising his sterling leadership qualities and selfless service to humanity.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Katsina State Council, led by Comrade Hassan Tukur Dan Ali, also joined in the celebration, offering prayers for long life, good health, and continued wisdom for the revered traditional ruler.
At the grassroots level, the Ketare Youth Development Association (KEDAMA) described the Kanwan Katsina as a role model, mentor, and father figure whose generosity and commitment to the younger generation remain unparalleled.
Other groups that sent their tributes included the Association of Alumni of the National Institute (AANI), Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Class of 1981, Nigeria Customs Service officers of the 1982 intake, and the Government Secondary School Malumfashi Old Boys Association (1970–1974 set).
In their collective messages, these groups extolled Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara as a bridge builder whose humility, sense of duty, and lifelong dedication to community service have continued to inspire people within and beyond Katsina State.
