Gunmen abduct former Bayelsa NUJ Chairman, 17 others

Yet to be identified gunmen have abducted a former chairman of the Nigerian Union of journalists, NUJ, Bayelsa Chapel, Comrade Julius Osahon, and 17 other passengers, along the East-west Road, In Ughelli-north Local Government Area of Delta State, at the late evening of Monday, March 28.

The passengers were abducted on their way to Warri.

Frontline Reporters gathered that the driver of the vehicle was shot dead by the gunmen.

At the time of this report, the gunmen had already contacted the wife of the former NUJ Chairman, demanding a 5million Naira ransom.
