The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare in Kankara Local Government Area Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has called on working journalists in Katsina State to engage into sporting activities to keep fit and healthy.
Alhaji Usman Bello was peaking when the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Katsina State Television KTTV Chapel presented to him a trophy won by one of their own at the recently concluded Kanwa Katsina Table Tennis Competition.
He urged journalist to utilize the sporting arena at the NUJ Secretariat for their development and leisure.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara who is the Grand Patron of the NUJ KTTV Chapel expressed happiness for coming second at a competition he set and urge them to redouble efforts to come first next time.
The traditional ruler used the occasion to call on media outfits to collaborate with the INEC to sensitize voters ahead of the twenty three general elections.
Presenting the Trophy to the Kanwan Katsina, the Chairman of the NUJ KTTV chapel Comrade Aminu Dandagoro celebrate the Monarch for his support and contribution to the chapel, Ketare community, Katsina State and the Country in general.

It could be recalled that the Sports Writer Association of Nigeria Katsina State Council in collaboration with the Kanwan Katsina had organized a Table Tennis Competition among media organization in the state as part of the activities to mark the twenty twenty two Press Week and to celebrate Katsina at thirty Five.
The Kanwan Katsina donated the trophy to NUJ Katsina state council for competition among media house in Katsina for his love for the game which he played during his secondary days in the 70s at government Secondary School Malumfashi
