Indigenous people of Ketare District in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State have expressed their immense appreciation to the Katsina State and Federal Government of Nigeria for benefiting from various social welfare packages aimed at uplifting the living standard of people living in rural areas.
The citizens of Ketare District made the expression of appreciation in a letter presented to their District Head, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara ‘mni’.
The spokesperson of the delegation Malam Rabi’u Rabo Tsamiyar Jino said the visit was meant to show appreciation for all the government policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare of people at the grassroots especially women who are engaged in petty business.
Specifically they thanked the government for benefiting from Npower/Spower program, School-Feeding, Skills Acquisition, Small and Medium Scale enterprise development and other social welfare packages.
According to him, the social welfare package has tremendously impacted positively on the lives of people of the area.
Malam Rabi’u Rabo Tsamiyar Jino commended the efforts and support of the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara for ensuring that only the vulnerable and the less privileged benefited from the social welfare packages.
He assured to continue to support government policies and programs at all times.
Receiving the letter on behalf of the District Head, the representative of Kanwan Katsina, Madawakin Hurya Alhaji Abubakar Idris, while thanking them for the visit also assured to forward their letter to the relevant authorities.
The District Head commended them for continued prayers for sustained peace in the area and urged them to continue to support government policies and programs for their development and to be law abiding.
