Ketare Monarch, Bello Tasks new Customs boss to boost revenue generation and suppress smuggling activities

The newly appointed Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi has been urged to use his vast experience in the customs service to evolve strategies that will boost revenue generation and suppress smuggling activities in the country.

The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara ‘mni’, made the call in a statement signed by his media officer (Sarkin Labarun Kanwa) Jamilu Hashimu Gora and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement, the Kanwan Katsina who is a retired comptroller in the Nigeria Customs Service that worked closely with the new Acting Comptroller General in the public relations unit, described the appointment of Mr. Adewale as well deserved.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara ‘mni’ while congratulating Mr. Bashir Adewale for his appointment as acting CG of customs also thanked president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making a meritorious appointment considering the track records and achievements of the appointee in the customs service.

The statement also described Mr. Adewale Adeniyi as a proper and trained officer who rose through the ranks up to Deputy Comptroller General of Customs (DCG).

The Kanwan Katsina therefore prayed for God guidance and good health to enable the acting comptroller of customs to discharge his duties effectively to the Nation.
